Develops, implements, monitors and maintains the PCM configurator; consisting of all model/unit specifications, weights, capacities etc.
Contributes to organizational effectiveness and productivity by acting and communicating in a manner such that good relationships are maintained with co-workers, management, customers and others.
Plans and organizes development and implementation processes for the PCM and PDM environment.
Leads all affected areas in development, implementation and maintenance in the PCM environment.
Controls and maintains the configurator for all model specifications, weights, capacities.
Monitors and controls product structure formats and consistency, directing BOM Writers in application of format guidelines.
Works with all facets of product development to assure timely and accurate implementation of product changes.
Evaluates information flow processes for improved applications and integration with the product development process, in an effort to enhance timeliness and accuracy.
Analyzes configurator capabilities in relationship to Jayco’s business processes looking for new applications and opportunities to improve or enhance current applications
Assists in periodic reports for analysis of option data.
Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Requires 3 to 5 years of related experience and knowledge equivalent to high school plus 2 to 3 years of additional schooling in the area of computer technology. Requires the ability to analyze many situations. Requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Requires strong organizational and people skills, strong verbal and written communication skills. Requires strong computer skills. Knowledge of RV construction and BOM structure is a plus but not required.
