RV Interior Features: What’s Your Style?

Interior-feature

So you’ve narrowed down the types of RVs you might consider … but what about the interior décor and features? What are your must-haves when it comes to finishes, furniture and fabrics? Like home design, RV trends change and evolve—and today’s interiors are a far stretch from that of your grandfather’s pop-up.

Family first

One of the best things about owning an RV is the extra quality time spent with family. Especially when you’ve got a top-of-the-line floorplan that comfortably accommodates the whole crew. Say goodbye to cramped quarters and scratchy sleeping bags: Many of today’s RVs have space (and comfort) to spare. If you want a contemporary look that holds up for your family, look for:

  • Some bunk and hide-a-bed models sleep up to 11 people—complete with name-brand mattresses and cozy, stylish bedding.
  • Many models offer kid- and pet-proof flooring (including stain-resistant carpeting and extra durable floors).
  • There are plenty of supersized storage options—including dinette storage, under-bed storage and ample kitchen cabinet space.
  • Exciting entertainment spaces are perfect for when the outdoor fun dies down—including theater seating in front of big-screen TVs, comfy game chairs, in-bunk TVs and board-game ready tables.

Comfort all the way

Comfort is a huge consideration in today’s smart RV design—but some models take things to a new level. One thing’s for sure—you won’t be homesick with these cozy interior touches:

  • The residential layout and design of many models lends itself to long-term stays that feel even sweeter than home; stylish blinds, high-end appliances and furniture, large panoramic windows, and even sliding glass doors add to the appeal.
  • Sleep like a baby with enviable master bedroom features including name-brand, queen- and king-sized mattresses, luxurious bedspreads and blackout roller shades.
  • Luxury models feature bathrooms you’d be happy to relax a while in—with oversized showers and inviting décor and fixtures.
  • The fireplaces available in many models offer a cozy place to relax at the end of a long day—and a beautiful design feature.

Other models feature king-sized memory-foam mattresses; The Designer Luxury Fifth Wheel features an oversized, 36-inch wide shower; The elegant, thermostatically controlled fireplace in the North Point delivers form and function.

Modern luxury

Some of the designs in the latest RVs are so contemporary, you may forget you’re in your home away from home. If sleek design is high on your wish list, check out these examples:

  • LED is all the rage—as much for the brilliant light as the long-lasting function. The latest in lighting is available throughout many of the latest RV models—from backlit mirrors to power awnings to under-counter lights.
  • Gorgeous backsplashes, eye-catching kitchen islands and espresso-colored wood cabinetry are just a few of the décor features that add an indulgent touch to your RV.
  • Say goodbye to sub-par appliances that sacrifice space and aesthetic. Modern, luxury RV models feature full-sized, stainless steel appliances to please even the most discerning gourmet.
  • If you’re going the motorized route, today’s RVs offer cockpits that are the peak of stylish comfort.
