MIDDLEBURY, Ind. – The 2016 Jay Feather will continue to expand customers' expectations of family fun. Thanks to its travel-friendly length and lightweight laminated design, Jay Feather is towable by most SUVs, minivans and crossovers. For 2016, Jayco has added four murphy bed models, foot flush toilets, new exterior graphics, and a new black diamond plate to protect from road debris.
Jay Feather 7 (formerly known as Jay Feather Ultra Lite) features nine models, each seven feet wide. These lightweights can sleep five to eight people, thanks to queen beds, 1,100-lb. rated tent ends, convertible dinettes and sleeper sofas. Select floorplans feature expandable bunk ends, which are made of sporting water-repellent DuraTek tent material. Built to resist mildew, mold, scratches and cracks, DuraTek comes with a five-year warranty.
Jay Feather (formerly known as Jay Feather SLX wide-body) has twelve models, each eight feet wide. These trailers can sleep two to 10 people, depending on the floorplan, thanks to the same sleeping accommodations provided in the Jay Feather 7. And for customers who want to sleep like a king, the X213 and X254 models feature a rear king-sized bed.
Both Jay Feather lines have LED lighting, screwed-and-glued cabinetry, ball-bearing drawer guides with 75-pound capacity, and Denver Mattress bunk mats.
Thanks to innovative floorplans, expandable areas and hardwall slideouts, Jay Feather creates the traditional camping experience without all the hardships of tent camping. Select models are equipped with a standard 6.3 cu. ft. refrigerator and 40 gallons of freshwater capacity. The oven and six-gallon water heater are now standard on all models. Options include 24” LED TV, electric tongue jack, heated bunk mats, roof ladder, and outside bumper mount grill.
Jay Feather is designed to be ultra-towable with lightweight construction and quality suspension features. The 2016 Jay Feather is built on a Norco NextGen frame, featuring the industry's strongest strength-to-weight ratio. This frame, paired with independent rubberized suspension, E-Z Lube axles, standard aluminum rims and an optional axle lift kit, make for an extremely towable lightweight.
All of this is backed with Jayco's industry-leading, two-year limited warranty — the most comprehensive warranty in the industry. This no-strings-attached warranty is not an extended dealer warranty; it's a manufacturer's warranty that comes from the people who build Jayco RVs. Each Jayco is warranted to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship. It's one of the many ways Jayco provides peace of mind (and more fun) to its customers.
