I-beams

1. One-piece I-beam:

Features a formed, one-piece design to prevent the unit from twisting; competing three-piece
I-beams can warp over time at the welded seams (n/a on Jay Flight SLX).

2. Integrated A-frame:

Runs through the main frame to prevent the hitch from buckling like competing tack-welded frames. (The Jay Flight seasonal trailer A-frames are not integrated because these units have a detachable hitch for long-term stays.)

3. Full-width outriggers:

Utilizes full-width outriggers, spaced 4-6 feet apart (vs. 8 feet), to better support the weight of the wall.

Norco NextGen Frame

1. High-strength steel:

Features the industry’s strongest strength-to-weight ratio thanks to a Norco NextGen frame made of high-strength, low-alloy sheet steel, electrically-coated finish and an interlocking design (n/a Jay Feather SLX).

2. Integrated A-frame:

Runs through the main frame to prevent the hitch from buckling like competing tack-welded frames.

3. Full-width outriggers:

Utilizes full-width outriggers, spaced 4-6 feet apart (vs. 8 feet), to better support the weight of the wall.

4. Huck bolts:

Provide up to ten times the fatigue strength of a conventional fastening system and can withstand 6,000 lbs. of force per bolt.

Fifth Wheel Frame

1. Fifth wheel frame:

Boasts a 2"x 6" tube perimeter frame over the truck bed to better support the sidewalls; some competing fifth wheels add a sidewall seam and expansion joint to compensate for less robust frames.

2. I-Class cambered structural-steel I-beam:

Features a formed, one-piece design to prevent the unit from twisting; competing three-piece I-beams can warp over time at the welded seams; on our drop-frame fifth wheels, we use a monster beam, 2" wider to support this high-torque area.

3. Full-width outriggers:

Uses full-width outriggers, spaced 4-6 feet apart (vs. 8 feet), to better support the weight of the wall.

4. L-brackets:

Creates a channel within the frame to secure the underbelly cover for a tightly sealed insulation barrier; some competitors attach the lining to the bottom of the frame, increasing the chance of rodents.

Motorhome Frame

1. A custom one-piece, laser-sheared, tight-fit frame:

Optimizes weight distribution for a more durable foundation; extra heat shielding is added to the frame, and entry steps are secured to the frame instead of the floor.

2. Balanced driveshaft:

Features a balanced driveshaft to reduce shudder.

3. Full-width trusses:

Extends to the edge of the sidewalls to better support the weight of the wall; each truss design undergoes a pull test for added safety.
