Jayco Celebrates 25th Anniversary of Jay Flight

Middlebury, Ind – The Jayco® Jay Flight® brand celebrates its 25^th anniversary with the introduction of the 2027 model year products. With nearly 400,000 units produced, the Jay Flight is one of, if not, the top selling brands in recreational vehicle history. This includes fifteen consecutive years of being the #1 selling trailer in the world. 

In 2005, Jayco began production of the Jay Flight in Twin Falls, Idaho, in addition to the existing Middlebury, Indiana production, to better supply trailers to dealers in the Western US and Canada. That year, Jay Flight became the top selling trailer. Ever since then, Jay Flight has been one of the top selling brands. 

Jay Flight was originally introduced as both a travel trailer and a fifth wheel. In 2008, Jayco decided to concentrate the Jay Flight brand in the travel trailer market and the Jay Flight fifth wheel was blended into the Eagle® brand.  Also in 2008, the Jay Flight Bungalow destination trailer was introduced to meet the more seasonal camper demand.

On May 21, 2026, dealers, content creators, media and partners participated in a 25^th anniversary celebration on the Jayco Middlebury campus. This included tours of the model year 2027 units, food trucks, giveaways, and limited-edition anniversary apparel.
